Visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!
Pigeon Forge is probably the most fun place for over 500 miles that you can bring your entire family to! It’s been referred to many times as a “mini Las Vegas” and truly does resemble the desert oasis.
Several miles of parkway are lined with amusment parks, go kart rides, themed tracks, arcades, skating rinks, roller coaster rides, cafes, diners & restaurants, and ever other building is a hotel or a pancake or steak house!
In addition to a main parkway lined with attractions and fun for ALL ages, you’ll also find that Pigeon Forge is home to the Dollywood & Dollywood Splash Country Theme parks and if the parkway doesn’t have a ride your after, either one of these theme parks will certainly take care of your thrill needs. Dollywood has some of the most fierce roller coasters in the United States, and one zero G ride that’ll put anyone’s stomach in their throat!!! New in 2010 is the Titanic Exhibit and many others!!!.
Pigeon Forge is also notorious for going overboard during the holiday season. Just like elsewhere, that also means that the lights come out in the fall, long before Christmas, and usually stick around for a few weeks post holiday too. So you needn’t fight Christmas or New Year traffic to see them. Almost every mile of parkway is decorated and nearly every store takes part in our annual Winterfest & Lights Festivals.
Pigeon Forge also boasts a great variety of dining options and some very notable names. Not everyone heads to the Smokies or Douglas Lake to “rough it” or at least not ALL of it, right? Here are some familiar names from town that should take care of all the modern convenience & TLC your looking for.
Alamo Steakhouse – Atlanta Bread Company – Calhoun’s – Cracker Barrel – IHOP – Johnny Carino’s – Marble Slab Creamery – Salsarita’s Mexican Cantina – Tony Romas
