Summer 2007 Lake Levels & Recreation Information
The lake levels at Douglas Lake fluxuate about 41 feet over the course of a normal year. The water levels are controlled
throughout the year by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to provide power to East Tennessee including Sevier County and parts of Kentucky as well as
Recreational Opportunities for it's residents & visitors to the area.
Lakefront Cabins is NOT responsible for conditions upon arrival resulting from
weather and/or lake levels. TVA, precipitation and weather all affect the level of Douglas Lake. During extemely dry seasons, TVA may lower the water level.
We are not responsible for the water level's effect on stationary docks, floating
docks, or recreational activities such as swimming, boating or fishing. The water is typically low from the months of September-beginning of May.
This summer we are experiencing unusually low lake levels across the
Douglas Lake Cabin Rental community. Many of our cabins are experiencing no changes this season and require no special instructions for lake recreation.
For the few cabins that are experiencing a dry dock right now, marina access is short drive from our cabins.
- Gator Point Marina 865-908-4000
- Indian Creek Marina 865-397-7286
Please call us if you have questions regarding lake levels at our cabins.
