Old Homeplace is an 1800 authentic log home with everything except the logs redone. So cozy for those Smoky Mountain getaways with the steamy hot tub, and the snuggly fireplace. Much more to enjoy here also.

Old Home Place Detailed Description
Old Home Place is a very special 200+ year old authentic log cabin in a wooded setting on Douglas
Lake. Several years ago this home was dismantled and then rebuilt at the lake using its original
logs; those used to build it in historic Cade's Cove back in the 1800's. The logs still retain the
carvings of long ago and have become a conversation piece for our guests.
Recent remodeling has improved it's character including a new medal roof, all new thermal pane
windows, complete new kitchen, and wood laminate floors throughout the home. Old Homeplace is
nestled on 2 wooded lots with lots of hardwood trees with very easy access for young and old alike
to the lake. think about Summertime playing on the lake. Imagine the wintery months here with the
historic log home, a romantic fireplace to snuggle and a steamy hot tub to relax. Just the perfect
setting for a romantic weekend away with that special someone. A rainy day for the lake, how about
playing a game of pool.A perfect Smoky Mountain setting!!
